Course Description

Fruit Tree Grafting & Pruning Workshop

Interested to learn about fruit tree grafting? Have fruit trees that need pruning?

Come to a Grafting & Pruning Workshop led by Chris Evans. You will learn about grafting and pruning and take home 2 trees you’ve grafted yourself.

Course Content

You will learn how to prune and graft fruit trees. You will also take home from the day 2 trees you have grafted your self.

If you have a favorite apple tree in your garden you want to propagate, you can bring along a branch (scion) for grafting – contact Chris for details. Chris is also looking for scion of named varieties for grafting in his fruit nursery so if you need a tree pruning he is happy to exchange this work for some of the branches !

Logistics

Camping is included in the fee; there are limited spaces in dormitory accommodation if you’re not able to camp - please let us know your needs.

Fees also include tasty vegetarian meals.

Facilitators & Venue

Chris Evans

Chris lives at Applewood with his partner Looby and children Shanti and Teya. He has taught permaculture in the UK, Europe, Nepal, India, U.S.A. and Mexico. He is also a UK assessment level tutor for apprentices working towards their diploma in applied permaculture design with the Permaculture Association Britain.
